Our tour is a unique way to see the local Venice away from all the crowds. We explore areas that provide both a historical and modern perspective about Venice. Every Venice Kayak tour starts from our base on the beautiful island of Certosa. Where your guide will brief you on the route and safety procedures. Then, guests will be led to the gear where we have sun hats, water shoes, dry bags, life vests, gloves and wet suits to help make your kayaking more comfortable. Once we are suited up you will be led to the kayaks where your professionally certified guide will give you a few lessons on kayaking properly through Venice. Once the guide sees you are set, it is time to go inside Venice to explore some truly hidden places. Throughout the tour your guide will take pictures so that you can remember the experience forever.

What's an excellent experience! This is definitely our highlight in this trip. This is my fourth time visiting Venice. I joined this tour as my birthday challenge, I got completely different perspective and angles to explore all secret corners along canals. They provided everything to be well-equipped, wet bag, paddling shoe, jacket, kayak cover, drink water and also photo shooting. I would try again with my kids in next visit,

This was a unique, memorable, and enjoyable experience to get the perspective of Venice from the canals. A 20 minute gondola ride does not give you enough of the water, this tour will. You will have plenty of time to see the city through first hand experience.
We took a Water Taxi to Certosa Island and then a ferry upon return, smooth and easy transport to and from.
Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable, but do not expect a history lesson tour. There may be a language barrier depending on your guide. But we did not book for a history lesson, we wanted to the adventure of the kayak and that is what we got.
There is a lot of activity on the canals, and you need to be alert for boats etc. We would have appreciated more hand signals or shouts from our guide to let us know when to hang left or right or to stop. This is not 'your grandma's tour', you need to be in shape and capable to paddle.
The staff was friendly, gear smooth to get in and out, and JP made us very welcome upon return and spent extra time with us and we really enjoyed the conversation.
I would recommend this tour for something different and bragging rights! Not everyone gets to kayak in Venice!

GET IN THE CANALS!

IF you are outdoor/active oriented, do not come to Venice without doing a kayak tour with Venice Kayak!! Preferably earlier in your visit. You will appreciate your other time in the city with the foundation given by your time on the water, in the canals and hearing the guides' narration. Experience the canals from water level! Also, just getting to the meeting location is an awesome adventure, via water bus or water taxi.

A really great way to see a different side of Venice whilst travelling through history off the beaten track..
Online booking was very simple. We were warmly welcomed and given instructions and a good safety briefing by Giovanni, our fantastic and very patient guide, who made the trip interesting and fun. He clearly enjoys what he is doing, is very professional, helpful, well organised and safety conscious. But the real star of the company is definitely Stella, his gorgeous dog ;-)

A fantastic way to experience Venice! One of the highlights of our visit. As beginners, Max (our guide), ensured that we were well looked after, he took lots of photos for us and had some interesting things to tell us about the wonderful city. Highly recommended!!
