If you are going to stay in Venice for more 3 days or more and want to spend a t lot of time going out to the Lagoon to visit the amazing islands and to go up and down the stunning grand canal which I would highly recommend then a 3 day pass is amazing value as it costs 7 euros to make 1 journey,it is by far the best way to see Venice and to visit the Lagoon and it saves a lot of walking in the heat of the day.
good service

City vaporettos are very crowded. They cost based on hours, based on when you buy.So 48hours for two daus may actually be 3 days. Cost is 30E, they have additional breaks for kids. Better to buy pass they pay for each ride. Don't forget to validate at station before ride, it will beep. City boats come approx. every 15 minutes. Alilaguna is better, more roomy but costs more. If 3 day visit go with it. It is worth the comfort.
No need, walk, explore and live a little!

I hight recomend you not to buy any form for travel pass, unless you struggle with stairs as most bridges are build of stairs.

Venice is so small, that nothing takes longer then 20 min walk to get to.

Not only is it a wonderful way, to explore the city, but also by FAR the fastest, unless you are happy to pay €60 or more for a less then 10 min trip, even then there are limits to, how close the taxi boat can get to your destination, due to it relying waterways.

We were advices to walk to a pier, to catch a boat to Murano and burano, this took around 15 min walk. Later on the way to the airport, the trip from our (hotel Danieli) to the same pier took nearly 40 min!

I give the service 3 stars because the staff are friendly and helpful, but it takes way too long compared to walking and is totally waist of money to invest in ANY form of travel pass.

Rather spent the money on a taxi boat ride or like us that and a gondola ride, they were fun and a great way to arrive at historic luxury hotels like the “Danieli” that offers its private waterway entrance.
