Isola Torcello
Torcello is a sparsely populated island at the northern end of the Venetian Lagoon, in north-eastern Italy. It was first settled in the year 452 and has been referred to as the parent island from which Venice was populated. It was a town with a cathedral and bishops before St Mark's Basilica was built.

The experience was excellent. I would highly recommend this trip.

My favorite part of the experience was the glass blowing demonstration in Murano. It was excellently timed to take place straight after stepping off the boat. My advice for future travelers would be to bring some lunch with you for the trip as it’s quite short on time for eating on any of the islands. We ate in a restaurant on Burano but we were very aware of not missing the boat to the final island on the trip.
Islands of Venice for half a day

Find time to visit Burano & Murano during your visit to Venice , Burano is beautiful colorful houses and Murano if famous for their glass manufacturers. You can even watch glass blowers artisans at work . 5€ per Person . Just go to one of the shops and they will direct you to the atelier .
Both islands are easily reachable from Venice . 2 hours per island is more than enough time . Give yourself half a day for this . No need to join a tour so you can enjoy at your own pace . Easily accessible with water bus from stations in Venice .
Good tour for the price.

Keep in mind this was not a guided tour. It’s more like a hop on hop off boat tour of 3 islands. The narrator on the boat was extremely friendly and nice. Island Of Murano was nice to see. Mostly glass demo and the town sells mostly glass work from the locals. Burano was beautiful! Definitely a place for Instagram pictures. Bright colorful homes and buildings. Loved it.
Torcello was a total Thumbs down!!!
It was a waste of time to stop there. This tour would have been perfect without the last island so we can spend time in Venice. Definitely a good tour for the price. Please remove Torcello as part of the tour. Your rating for this tour would be 5 stars if you get rid of the last stop.
One last note, be there 15 min early! We got there 3 minutes before the scheduled time and they left took off to head toward the boat without us. It was tough to find their small stand. Thank goodness the local vendor was nice enough to point us to the “Island Tour”. We ran and caught up to the group.

Good trip to the islands

Overall the trip was nice and a "must-do" activity to do. We didnt spend a lot of time in Murano, which is a shame. By the time we got to Burano, the sun had set (it was winter) which also wasnt good for photo taking. They should start the trip earlier so the visitors get to enjoy the sites more.

Be aware, that the meeting point is different to the location given. You need to look out for a small yellow movable stand which is in front of the Danelli Excelsior hotel. We got there 30 before the trip thankfully, so we could find the tour desk.
Do it yourself

A nice taster but with only 45 mins at each island, it is not enough time to properly explore the beautiful shops. The glass blowing demonstration goes for about 5 minutes. Additionally like some others mentioned, there is poor instruction about the meeting/departure stop and the guide could barely be understood over the microphone on the boat (after she spoke about each point in 5 languages). Think best just to purchase a ferry ticket and do a day trip to Murano to watch a proper demonstration and take your time browsing the many shops and churches here. Likewise Burano is stunning and plenty of shops and restaurants to explore so needs time. Personally didn’t think much or Tocello.
