1 hr 15 min - A Venetian master artisan will explain you the ancient technique of making a Venetian papier-mâché mask providing information about the use of masks in Venice during past centuries. At the end of the course, you will keep the mask as a very special souvenir to bring back home. In case of mask production, you shall return to the laboratory after a few hours to collect the mask since it takes time to dry, the created mask will not be decorated.

One of a Kind Creations

So much fun! My husband and I had a fantastic time creating our own masks and watching the instructors embellish our creations, bring them to life. Once in a life time experience and good for all ages.

Fun activity

Venetian mask making has been one of my favorite activities while I was in Venice (and just Italy in general). The workshop owner was very kind and very helpful. It was a fun way to learn about the culture in Venice!

Wonderful experience, enriching, short but thoroughly fun!

I HIGHLY recommend this experience. I was in Venice for a little less than a week and when you have so much to see, time is of a essence. Nicolas was great, very nice and explanatory, fun to talk to and candid. This experience gives you a taste of Venice of the old days during the Venetian Mask Carnival, at their shop and with your own touch, don't worry they won't let you walk out without a nice piece of Art with a touch of your own, which -YES- it's included! My advice is that you wait until you go here so that you buys all the masks your heart desires and use the discount they typically give you for signing up for a class (in addition to the included mask you made you get to take home free to you, don't let anyone want to buy it from you, it happens!). Any additional masks you buy, they can nicely pack for you. Most will be very resistible because most have hard materials inside like wire and paper mache center, it will make your trip. I took mine in my carry-on, though, and put small garments around it for extra cushion. Go, what are you waiting for? They have limited space. ~Eric S. from Texas, USA. So much fun!!! Do it if you can!!!

I did it with my 10 year old and 5 year old siblings and it was so fun. First you choose a mask to paint (there is a good variety), then choose some colours, the man will rule the mask up for you and you paint! The people are very helpful and explain everything very well. When you have finished painting your instructor will ask if you want gold, silver or white decorations (depending on the colours you pick to paint your mask) and will paint on some beautiful little decorations. Totally recommend, do it if you can!!!
