We barely made it to the meeting place in time. Luckily Elisabetta was so organized it was no problem. Her enthusiasm is only outshined by her encompassing knowledge of all things Venice. Had we toured the Doge’s Palace and St Mark’s without a guide we wouldn't have understood 10% of what she imparted to us. If you can, ask for Elisabetta!

The Doge palace is gorgeous. A lot of history to it and the tour was really nice. The guide was not bad, her storytelling gets a bit long winded at times but I learned quite a bit. the most annoying part was even though this was a small group tour, there was a bunch of kids acting like it was a private tour for them only— asking a lot of questions and holding up everyone, constantly. The guide should not address all their questions considering there were others on the tour. It got too long at the Doge palace and we were tired of listening to her answer their questions (which were all googleable) and by the time we got to st mark’s we were drained.
