Matt was very knowledgeable of his history of Venice. Can ask him anything from the paintings in Doge's Palace to things around town. He is never short of answers having grown up in Venice and proud of it.
Susa was knowledgeable and very nice tour guide. She gave a great historical background and kept the tour moving.
It poured with rain the whole day but our guide, Susan was fantastic and went above and beyond to show us everything and try and keep us dry. She rearranged the the day around the rain. Her knowledge was amazing. The basilica park and doges palace were amazing. The rain stopped just long enough for us to ride the gondolas. It was a great day despite the weather.
I really liked this tour. It showed me the highlights of Venice in a short amount of time. My favorite was the Gondola Ride. The views from all over the city were incredible! I also liked how we had a 2.5 hour break in the tour for people to eat and shop, then we meet up in St. Mark’s Square to resume the tour. If you want to see the main points of Venice but don’t have a lot of time, this tour is the tour for you!
Great tour and informative guide! Learned many interesting facts and stories! The guide was engaging and being a local was insightful on venetian culture. The tour was well organized and all done on schedule. Overall, highly recommend of your first visit to venice. The break in-between the morning and afternoon tour was a good feature, it allowed us the flexibility to eat lunch/shop/take a nap etc. I suggest you choose a hotel close to st. Marks square or rialto bridge to allow you this comfort and flexibility during the 2hr 30min break. We stayed within 5min walk from both areas and it was perfect.
This was a great tour to see all the highlights! Our tour guide, Nico, was really good. It was very apparent that he loves his city very much and loves showing it off. We spent the morning walking the city and learning all sorts of history that we would not have otherwise learned. We took a 30 minute gondola ride through the canals, which was our favorite part. After a break of lunch, we met back up with him and toured St. Marks Basilica and the Doges Palace. The pace was perfect, we never felt rushed, and Nico was always more than happy to stop and answer questions. It was a great day of learning about the floating city!
